Red Bank Catholic senior Dylan Chayes, a three-sport athlete who is also ranked No. 1 in his class academically, will continue his football career by serving as a long-snapper at Cornell, according to RBC coach Jim Portela.

That gives the Caseys two Ivy League recruits from this season, as running back Andrew Casten will continue his career at Harvard.

At 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds, Chayes was a two-year starter at guard and long-snapper who also played some defensive end on one of the Shore’s top defenses and one of its top rushing attacks. Chayes also plays ice hockey and baseball.
