Jay Price to Be Recommended as New Manasquan Head Coach

Former assistant Jay Price is expected to be recommended to be approved as the next head coach at Manasquan at the next Board of Education meeting this month, according to multiple sources.

Price played at Manasquan under legendary former coach Vic Kubu and also coached under Kubu. Most recently, he was the linebackers coach for the Warriors. He previously was the defensive coordinator in the early 2000s.

Price replaces Pete Cahill, who stepped down after four seasons to accept a vice principal job at Manasquan. Price and fellow assistant Rich Read were considered the top two candidates for one of the top public school coaching  jobs in New Jersey. The Warriors have won a Shore Conference-record 11 sectional titles in their history as well as 30 division titles, including the Class C Central crown last season.
