My Gridiron Pick/Kasten’s Bet/7-on-7 moved to 6 p.m.

The National Guard Shore Conference 7-on-7 championship game has been moved to 6 p.m. on Thursday at Toms River North, an hour before kickoff of the U.S. Army All-Shore Gridiron Classic, according to Barnegat coach Rob Davis, who is the Ocean County rep for the 7 on 7.

Also, while I will have more on this on the site tomorrow, I am picking Ocean County to beat Monmouth County. When I informed the Monmouth County team of this at practice the other day, Freehold lineman Mike Kasten, a brainy Georgetown recruit, bet me that if Monmouth County wins I will drop and do 20 push-ups on the field after the game. I accepted, so we’ll see what happens. Good luck to both teams.
